🥩 Grows steak in space - that we also can eat on Earth

Aleph Farms grows real meat using animal cells, producing a beef steak without killing a cow.

Last year they did this on the International Space Station, demonstrating it can be done far from traditional agricultural resources.

This is also crucial if humanity wants a future in space. When millions or billions of people live out in the solar system, we cannot transport all food they need from Earth. That would be way too costly. So we need to produce that food in space.

Now Aleph Farms is launching Aleph Zero.

“The term represents the company’s vision for producing meat with near-zero natural resources.”

Aleph Zero will results in BioFarms, which will produce food for space travelers.

Of course, we can use this knowledge also on Earth.

“The constraints imposed by deep-space-exploration—the cold, thin environment, and the circular approach—force us to tighten the efficiency of our meat production process to much higher sustainability standards,” Co-Founder and CEO Didier Toubia said.
