πŸ‘» The computer game that can help children with ADHD

A computer game been approved for the first time as a medical treatment by the United States FDA. The game is called Endeavor and is intended to help children with ADHD.

The game looks like a regular computer game where the player has to steer a vehicle through a lane. But manufacturer Akili has spent seven years developing and clinical studies to create a game that helps children with ADHD.

600 children were allowed to play Endeavor 25 minutes a day, five days a week for one month. After that, the researchers at Akili could see a noticeable improvement in the children’s ability to draw attention.

The researchers are clear that the game is not intended to replace existing treatments. It is instead a complement and a treatment that the children hopefully look forward to every day.
