You gargle ten milliliters of liquid, spit it out and after a few seconds you know if you have COVID-19, writes Times of Israel .
Israeli researchers are in the middle of testing this method on 400 patients at Sheba Medical Center. So far, the accuracy of the test is 95 percent.
A test is estimated to cost around 25 cents.

Now sampling takes place with a so-called PCR test, where a stick is inserted at the back of the nose. That method is of course more complicated and time consuming than a gargle test.
Several other methods are now being developed for testing. We recently wrote about a breath test for COVID-19, also from Israel, where you get an answer in a minute.
